Thief 3 Data Execution Protection problem

Thief deadly shadows or thief 3 is no doubt one of the best game i have ever played. While playing this game on windows vista or on windows 7, you will find a problem that is called "data execution protection" problem.

You need to turn off "data execution prevention" before you run this game. Please follow below steps:

1. Go to control panel -> User Accounts -> Click "Turn User Account Control on or Off" to turn it off.
   
   
2. Restart your computer.
   
   
3. Open command prompt and type bcdedit /set nx AlwaysOff and then press enter to execute this command. This command will disable DEP.
   
   
4. Restart your computer.
   
   
5. May be or may be not: Right click on the game exe and click properties. Then click "Compatibility" tab. Then click the checkbox that says "Run this program in compatibility for:". Then select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" from drop down. Click apply and OK to save and close the settings.
   
   
6. May be or may be not: Right click on the game exe and click "Run as administrator" to run the game.
7. Run the game and enjoy!
